The Nor/ma Stories series expands with a new chapter: Egy hely Klub, an urban exploration format that invites participants on a city storytelling journey through a series of conversational walks.
Each event begins on the Nor/ma Grand terrace, followed by a guided walk through the iconic locations of Budapest’s District II, uncovering hidden stories and layered histories — led by Tamás Torma and Elza Morcsányi.
Evenings start with an informal conversation, then continue with a themed walk where the past, architecture, and personal narratives of the neighborhood come to life. Beyond buildings and streets, the stories reveal destinies, legends, and forgotten memories.
A moment when the city becomes personal.
Duration: ~30-minute talk on the Nor/ma Grand terrace + ~1.5-hour walk
Capacity: max. 25 people
Planned themes & routes:
Logodi Street
A literary walk through one of Buda’s most storied streets
From the echoes of Hungary’s most famous late-night drinking tales to a tiny tavern once frequented by Ady Endre, Margit Kaffka, and Baron Lajos Hatvany. Stories by Márai, Ottlik, and Tandori emerge, alongside the turbulent life of actress Lili Muráti. A true urban delicacy in the shadow of Buda Castle.
Lövőház Street
From shooting ranges to weddings
Once home to shooting grounds, bowling alleys, and taverns, later transformed from an industrial zone into a vibrant pedestrian street. Stories of Buda’s citizens, vanished buildings, markets, and transporters unfold — along with a curious near-tragic episode involving Sándor Bródy and his son. Hidden shooting houses, royal visits, and even parachutes appear along the way.
Keleti Károly Street
Layers of a Buda street
From executioner’s houses and green-columned porches to brickmakers and vineyards, this street carries deep historical layers. Soldiers praying at the Nepomuk statue, engineers of the Ganz factory, terrace shops of the Majláth houses, opposition meeting points, and vanished legendary venues all surface along the walk. Architectural curiosities, wartime memories, and transformed buildings complete the journey.
A chance to experience in real life what you’ve only seen on screen.
Egy hely steps out of the digital space and into the streets of Buda — turning storytelling into a shared, immersive city experience.
